Prof. Daesik Hong won the Haedong Award of Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea (IEEK)

and appointed as Underwood/Avison Distinguished Professor of Yonsei University complimenting

his passionate academic activities such as 49 SCI papers and 94 issued patents for last five years.  

   Haedong Award is granted annually to the members who have made significant contributions to promote
the growth and expansion of electronic engineering in Korea, jointly with the Haedong Science Foundation.

   Underwood/Avison Distinguished Professor program is a special merit system of Yonsei University,
under which excellent professors are honored with Endowed Chair Professor and rewarded with a subsidy
for 3 years for their outstanding academic activities.
