Abstract : In a long term evolution based vehicle-to-vehicle (LTE-V2V) system, vehicle user equipment units (VUEs) broadcast their driving information to neighboring VUEs. However, they cannot receive packets from others during transmission because they operate in half-duplex (HD) mode. Moreover, adjacent channel interference further degrades the communication reliability. To overcome these problems, we propose a permuted resource allocation (RA) scheme based on the grouping of neighboring VUEs. Through a theoretical analysis for the proposed scheme, a closed-form expression of the approximated reliability is derived. Based on this, we also suggest an adaptive resource size control mechanism for the proposed method. Numerical results show that the proposed method achieves higher reliability than conventional geo-based RA in practical road environments.
