Conference : ITC-CSCC2013
Abstract : This paper considers coordinated multi-point (CoMP) in a downlink small cell network. We propose a new dynamic CoMP to reduce the computational complexity. The proposed scheme selects the CoMP mode between the joint transmission (JT) or the coordinated beamforming (CB) by utilizing the user location. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme greatly alleviate the computational complexity, while achieving almost same throughput of the conventional method, in the worst case, 97%.
