Abstract : | This paper proposes a low complexity multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel estimation algorithm for low earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication systems with a spatial basis expansion model (SBEM). To be specific, an angle of arrival (AOA) tracking process is proposed to utilize AOA information during service time. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm maintains the performance during the service time of LEO satellite communication systems, while the performance of the conventional SBEM algorithm degrades within 5 seconds |
