Abstract : Rapid time variations of the mobile communication channel have a dramatic impact on the performance of multicarrier modulation. This letter analyzes the effect of the Doppler-induced interchannel interference (ICI) on a space-time block coded (STBC) OFDM-CDMA system in a time-varying Rayleigh fading channel. At the same time, we compute the effect of the ICI on the BER performance of the STBC OFDM-CDMA system using the maximal ratio combining (MRC) and equal gain combining (EGC) schemes.
